A native of the Birmingham area, Joey enrolled in law school after several years as an entrepreneur as well as teaching post-secondary history and religion courses at a local community college. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Samford University in Birmingham, a Master of Divinity degree from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, and Juris Doctor degree from Birmingham School of Law.
Joey returned to Zarzaur & Schwartz, P.C., after having previously served as an attorney in its compliance department. In the interim, he worked with clients in civil litigation in personal injury and workers compensation as both plaintiff’s and defense counsel. Joey is licensed to practice law in Alabama and is admitted to practice in all Alabama State Courts and the Northern District of Alabama.
Joey lives in the Birmingham area with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys traveling with his family, DIY projects, music, and college football.
